Terms

By using this website you agree to the terms below.

Purpose of the content

Gadget Gauges publishes general information about consumer electronics: how specifications are written, how batteries age, how repairable devices are, and how to compare products before buying. The content is educational. It is written to help you ask better questions, not to tell you what to buy.

No personalised advice

Which device suits you depends on what you already own, how you use it, your budget, your network and your local pricing. None of that is known to us. A guide that explains a specification, a battery rating or a repair policy is describing a general rule, not evaluating your situation.

Accuracy and change

Manufacturers revise specifications, firmware and product lines without notice, and retailers change prices and stock constantly. We aim to be accurate when we publish and to correct errors when they are found, but we cannot guarantee that every detail remains current. Always check the manufacturer’s current published specification before relying on a figure.

Prices and performance figures

We do not publish prices as fixed facts, and where we mention the general price band of a category it is a description of the market rather than a quote. Any performance figure we mention comes from a published specification with stated test conditions; those conditions will differ from your own use.

Some links to retailers on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This site also displays advertising.

Commission never determines the content of a guide, and we do not publish sponsored reviews. Where we recommend against a product or a category, that recommendation stands whether or not an affiliate link exists.

Limitation of liability

Gadget Gauges is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, including a purchase you regret, a device that does not meet your expectations, or a repair you were unable to carry out.

Your purchase contract is with the retailer, not with us. Returns, warranties and refunds are governed by that retailer’s terms and by your local consumer law.

Links to other websites are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
